This study aimed to identify the effect of using interactive videos on developing knowledge and proficiency aspects of programming skills in Python Language with the first intermediate students in Turba City. A quasi-experimental methodology was used through selecting a sample of 43 students which was divided into an experimental group (23) and a control group (20). The researcher designed an achievement test to test the knowledge aspect of programming skills in Python Language and a checklist to test the proficiency aspect of programming skills in Python Language. The study revealed the following findings: - There were statistically significant differences at the level (0.05) between the mean scores of both experimental and control groups in the knowledge aspect of programming skills in Python Language in the post-test attributed to the use of the interactive video in favor of the experimental group. - There were statistically significant differences at the level (0.05) between the mean scores of both experimental and control groups in the proficiency aspect of programming skills in Python Language in the post-observation checklist attributed to the use of the interactive video in favor of the experimental group. Finally, a number of recommendations were introduced in this study; most notably, training teachers of computer and digital information technology on designing interactive videos and using them in teaching programming skills as a technique of direct or virtual elearning.
