This research delves into the transformative potential of humanoid robotics and artificial intelligence (AI) in the field of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), spotlighting their innovative contributions to modern language instruction. With a focus on robot-assisted language learning (RALL) and AI-powered tools, particularly humanoid robots like Nao, the study explores how these technologies enhance language learning through personalized, dynamic exercises. For third-year undergraduate students in France, mastering English is a critical asset for improving employability and gaining a competitive edge in the job market. Despite the availability of numerous language resources, many traditional tools fail to optimize rapid language acquisition, underscoring the need for more effective, targeted learning programs. In this context, RALL offers a focused, efficient alternative that addresses these challenges, particularly in English for Specific Purposes (ESP) domains. Complementing this, intelligent tutoring systems (ITS), like the Artificial Intelligence Virtual Trainer (AI-VT), provide personalized diagnostics, track learner progress, and actively engage students with interactive tasks, further accelerating language development. This research demonstrates how the integration of robotics, ITS and AI into TESOL not only enriches language instruction but also enhances learner motivation and progress tracking. This didactic approach is universally applicable to ESP contexts and lifelong learning scenarios, offering time-saving advantages for educators while positioning these technologies as indispensable assistants in modern language teaching. The ongoing evolution of AI and RALL, alongside traditional methods, promises a future where teaching practices can more effectively meet the needs of learners.
