The Phrase Book is a simple Android application developed by the US Army Research Laboratory for looking up domain-specific phrases in different languages (e.g. , Dari, Pashto) and their corresponding English translations. The application contains several third - party applications, which add additional steps to the installation process. Due to these dependencies , the installation is not as simple as installing a typical Android app. This report describes the process of installing the Phrase Book application on an Android device and configuring several additional applications required by the Phrase Book. ; The original document contains color images.
