With the rapid development of the Internet of Things (IoT) technology, IoT education in colleges faces an urgent need to enhance students' practical capabilities and innovative spirit. Through the use of the literature review method, this study deeply analyzes the application of Python in the IoT field and, combined with the survey method, comprehensively explores the actual needs of students as well as their future career development directions. Based on this, we propose a series of targeted teaching reform strategies, including updating the curriculum system, introducing Python practical projects closely integrated with IoT, and strengthening case-based teaching. The implementation of these strategies will significantly improve the quality of IoT education, cultivating more professionals with strong practical capabilities and innovative spirit to meet the growing talent demand of the IoT industry and provide solid talent support for its sustained development.
