This paper proposes a new modified viscosity type inertial subgradient extragradient algorithm for solving nonmonotone equilibrium problems in real Hilbert spaces. It proves the strong convergence theorem of the algorithm under suitable conditions. In addition, we utilize the proposed algorithm to solve the cardiovascular disease classification in machine learning by using the cardiovascular disease dataset from the Kaggle website, which is cleaned by a smooth data technique in the MATLAB program. The comparisons show that our algorithm is more efficient than other machine learning methods. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
