In order to test the down-proof performance of fabrics quickly, accurately and economically, a method for evaluating the down-proof performance based on fabric light grayscale images using digital image processing technology was proposed. Firstly, the light-transparent digital image of the fabric obtained by scanning was enlarged by Photoshop software to obtain the gray value of the brightest part of 3 - 5 large pores, and the average light transmittance was calculated to determine whether the fabric was physical down-proof or chemical down-proof. Then, the image of the physical down-proof fabric was processed according to the process M image import, threshold determination, binarization processing, morphological processing, connected domain mark, connected domain area calculation" by using MatLab software to obtain the macropore frequency distribution of the fabric. Compared with the ultimate pore distribution of the physical anti-velvet fabric, the anti-textile properties of the fabric are known. The verification results show that the evaluation method of down-proof test based on fabric light transmission image is accurate and feasible, and it is simple, fast and can save test materials. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
