The computer manufacturing firm Borland's new software JBuilder X shows a striking evolution from its slow and buggy beginnings into what is perhaps the leading Java development tool. This version features support for operating systems Windows and Linux, along with Palm and Pocket PC handheld as well as Java based mobile phones. JBuilder X compiles code blazingly fast on modern PCs and is a welcome upgrade from its immediate successor, JBuilder 9. JBuilder X also shares many cosmetic similarities to Borland's other recent release, C++ Builder X, and both are clearly built on the same foundation code.
