Treffer: A typological theory of roles in process mining: conceptualising competencies through text mining of job vacancy data.

Process mining is revolutionising how organisations optimise operational processes by applying sophisticated algorithms to historical data from contemporary information systems. Despite recent efforts to address the organisational aspects of process mining, a crucial gap in comprehensive understanding of competency requirements for successful implementation remains. This study integrates theoretical insights with empirical job vacancy data to develop a typology of roles, including a competency framework and ideal role types. Using topic modelling, cluster analysis, rigorous evaluation metrics, and consensus-building, this study ensures validity and reliability.
