The goal of this study is to develop and verify university-level flipped classroom learner competency model. To achieve the goal, Behavioral Event Interviews with eight learners was conducted at first. Then, data was analyzed and competencies were derived from the meaning codes. Testing the reliability of the coding, statistical validation of the competency model was employed by factor analysis. As a result, the competency model was finally completed, consisting of five competencies; Learning orientation, learning management, feedback/help seeking, collaborative learning, and knowledge extension. The finding will be used as an empirical guidance for the learners in the flipped classroom. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
