Treffer: Cooperative Routing for Energy Harvesting Wireless Power Transfer in Agriculture‐Based Wireless Sensor Network.
Weitere Informationen
To obtain precision agriculture and better resource management, long‐term monitoring of the farming field is adequate. Hence, the usage of advanced technology on wireless sensor networks (WSNs) for energy‐efficient operation is introduced in targeted application which is described in the literature. The major problem of solar‐based energy harvesting systems is the partial shading effect of photovoltaic systems which reduce the power and efficiency. To compensate for the effect of partial shading in WSN, this research offers a wireless power transfer system employing solar‐powered WSN. To access the energy, the cooperative architecture among the nodes has been implemented using the energy transmission node (ETN), which keeps the energy on all of the sensor nodes in the network. Due to the adaptation of the ETN, the complex recharging battery‐based system model is eliminated. Since data and energy transfer occur in the network, an adaptive routing protocol based on intelligence has been developed. The power and data transfer difficulty have been overcome using a Q‐learning method in which the reward function updates the network's status. The proposed method is simulated in MATLAB. The approach reduced 53% of energy consumption 100% packet delivery rate when compared to the existing techniques. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
